Here is a 1 to 4 week pre-college experience at Thomas Jefferson University's College of Architecture and the Built Environment for any high school age and older student considering degrees in the built environment industry, including: architecture, construction management, historic preservation, interior design, landscape architecture, real estate development, geodesign and analytics, or urban design.

PARK(ing) DAY Philadelphia
The number of parks throughout Philadelphia increases dramatically each year on the third Friday in September, when activists, artists, architects, and other citizens transform metered parking spaces into temporary public parks. Known as PARKing) Day, this annual event re-imagines the possibilities of 160 square feet of public space. The event celebrates parks and other public spaces in cities across the country, and raises awareness of the need for more pedestrian-friendly spaces in our urban areas.
PARK(ing) Day was founded by Rebar, a San Francisco art and design studio, in 2005 to raise awareness of the need for green spaces in urban environments. Philadelphia celebrated PARK(ing) Day for the first time in 2008 with over 25 installations for relaxing, cycling, creating art, education, and socializing.

DEEP CUTZZZ is a bi-seasonal ‘LAST CHANCE CONCEPT MARKET’ who believes in a more responsible and circular economy by creating less waste. This retail space is for independent designers and makers, where they can give their back stock, seconds, and retired samples a last chance.

Design A Doodad: Bead with a Bestie (PM)
Inspired by Mother’s Day, heirlooms, and little treasures, Design Gym + Feast Jewelry welcome kiddos and their special grown-up (parent, godparent, grandparent, really cool older cousin 😎, etc.) to join us for Bead with a Bestie on May 4th at 10am or 2pm.
Breathe new life into old jewelry pieces, or create something completely new when you join us PlayArts Pop-Up at the Piazza in Northern Liberties. Meet Philly-based jewelry designer Adrienne Manno, then design + make your own pieces to treasure!
We encourage you to bring any of your own beads, charms, or broken jewelry to fix or take apart and re-design.
Registration is for two people, includes:
two-hour session with intro + instruction
materials and tools
snacks/beverages
two jewelry pieces (earrings and/or bracelet/s)
Feast Jewelry (@feast_jewelry) is a Philly-based jewelry brand combining found and sourced organic elements of pearl, shell, coral and glass. Feast borrows from the environment with restraint. As an exercise in sustainability, Feast up-cycles vintage and deadstock chain when possible to lighten the footprint of the brand while adding a vintage aesthetic. Each piece is handcrafted by designer and owner Adrienne Manno in her Kensington studio.
